ABOUT
THE CHAMPIONSHIP
The FIM Women’s Circuit Racing World Championship is designed to bring the worlds fastest females together to fight for a World Championship. The series forms as a new category in the FIM Superbike World Championship, and will consist of a 6 rounds starting in Misano, Italy on the 14th June.
With the championship to utilise Yamaha YZF-R7s as the sole permitted bike for competition, it promises to be a fantastic addition not yet seen on the World stage. The R7 has an engine capacity of 689c.c. at 188 kilograms, totalling 74 horsepower. All motorcycles are race prepped by the organisation, ensuring all motorcycles are consistent across the grid, making it possible one of the closest World Championship fights ever seen.
The Women’s World Championship will also receive worldwide TV coverage from the most prominent broadcast networks in each country, including free-to-air channels.
In total, 24 of the worlds fastest female riders have been identified and selected across the World to compete in this Championship.
